We currently have an area outside our classroom that is very rarely used. I wonder if we could come up with some planning ideas to make some changes?

We would need to put together a presentation for the Board of Trustees, convincing them of the positive influence our idea could bring to the school.

SO - here is a perfect opportunity for us to create/design and present out learning, in a practical way.

You may contact professionals to help with design, equipment, planting....
What to do:
  1. Create scale drawings of the current area (the trees will have to stay).
  2. Research if there is a need to make changes to this area and what others think (consumer survey)
  3. Present results from this survey using the skills we are learning in Statistic's
  4. Research design ideas
  5. Create drawings of different view points of your design ideas
  6. Include mathematical information about your design - area, volume, perimeter
  7. Where possible, research cost of your design ideas
  8. Create a formal 'package' to resent your idea to the class and the top voted 3 designs will be presented to the board
